Scientific Name: Perca fluviatilis
Perch like still water and often frequent the shallows, especially places like jetty piers. Smaller perch swim in small schools, larger fish are usually solitary. Perch are easy to catch and attracted to the colour red.
Perch are classed as a sports fish and requires a fishing licence.
