Tawharanui on Takatu Peninsula, is picturesquely set and features archaeological sites,
history, culture, occassionally dolphins and orcas.
With it's open sanctuary and the predator fence helps preserve birdlife like the endangered
NZ dotterel and other reintroduced species.
