Hauraki Gulf Islands

Heading to the Hauraki Gulf ?

Bring no pests, leave no waste.
Check
for pests | Clean your boat before you go
Close all food containers | Reduce your waste and take it home.

Out on the islands in the Hauraki Gulf, residents along with Auckland Council and the Department of Conservation
are doing everything they can to restore biodiversity, to trap and control predators.

There's plenty to love about Auckland's sea birds to kiwi, tuatara and takahe.
These off-shore islands provide sanctuaries for our unique native species.
